TODAY’S TOPIC: How Can I Manage Long Natural Hair?

Our natural hair grows thick, textured, and wild!! And we love it! Hair goals girls, hair goals! We do length checks, we follow all kind of length retention recipes, we protective style....to retain the length, because we all want that YouTube girl’s hair that’s thick and long and defined.... She rocks her hair in so many different styles! I want to do that!!!!! Yass!

SLOW DOWN and address your entire length, and the scalp.

What comes along with that length is a requirement of time, love and tenderness. Shoulder length, Bra-Strap Length, Waist Length, even Full n Thick FRO’s as they grow require more of your time, so your hair ritual day may get a little longer.

To detangle, start at the ends and GENTLY work your way up the strand to the scalp. ~ Jacqui

It’s going to require more love. SLOW DOWN and address your entire length, and the scalp. You may have to section your hair to thoroughly cleanse your scalp and strands from root to ends. A major part of retaining length is directly connected to how you treat the ends of your hair. Raking a comb, or any other object through your hair impatiently is going to wreak havoc on your ends. Split ends, damaged ends, knots, etc.... This is where the tenderness comes in. To detangle, start at the ends and GENTLY work your way up the strand to the scalp. If you take some time in the evening to do something with those ends, braid em, twistem, whatever, to keep them detangled and protected through the night; this will make your mornings so much smoother

How do you take it slow when doing your hair?
