Puff Apothecary awarded $10,000 county supported grant to expand into natural hair care salon services

DAYTON, OHIO -- Local business woman and community advocate, Bethany Ramsey, has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Miami Valley Community Action Partnership to expand her existing boutique into salon services.

Puff Apothecary is a natural hair and beauty boutique located in downtown Dayton. The boutique is dedicated to offering natural based products for hair and skin care. Starting in October, Puff Apothecary will be the first salon dedicated solely to natural hair styling in southern Ohio. The salon will use techniques and natural based products that help clients embrace their natural hair pattern and texture.

“Our stylists will be focused entirely on styling curly and afro textured hair, braiding, locs and educating clients on how to care for their natural hair” says Bethany Ramsey owner of Puff Apothecary. “I’m so honored that the county supports and believes in Puff. It’s a true indicator that the city supports Black owned businesses and strives to be inclusive as Dayton and Montgomery County continue to see exciting developments.”
